What is it.

SoundsOfAdelaide is on the path of becoming an umbrella for not just music but the creative arts industry, first in Adelaide and then proceeding to becoming a nationwide wide brand and eventually making its way through international borders. We want to be able to shine a spotlight on all things

music and arts within the different community groups within Adelaide. We aim to do this by throwing events within communities monthly which will be purposed to create opportunities for those who don’t necessarily have the resources to create a platform for themselves.

How it started.

SoundsOfAdelaide was founded by James Bannah. James Bannah is a multi-talented musician/producer who is currently in his third year of Bachelor of Music at Tabor College. Being a performer as well as a producer, James saw the huge amount of talent that was hidden in Adelaide and he felt the need to get involved and do something about. He architected a competition that was structured to showcase Adelaide’s talent.

contestants had to record themselves performing an original song, post it on social media and tag James Bannah, it would then get reposted on James’s social media platforms. Four unbiased individuals were gathered together to judge and pick the winners. The competition was split up into two categories, singer and rappers. The winners were given free studio time to record a new single, along with a music video professionally recorded.

Future.

The future of SoundsOfAdelaide has a radiant future. Post competition, we decided to use the momentum that was gained through the competition to continue impacting the music and arts culture in Adelaide by throwing events that promote communities.
